Stable Steps Water Aid is a charity initiative being established in the UK. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and what your rights are under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
- Emails you send us: whatever you choose to include.
- Phone calls and messages: your phone number and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the website secure and working.
We do not take online payments on this website yet. If that changes, we will update this notice.
Why we use it
We use your contact details only to reply to your enquiry and to keep a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We never sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Messages are delivered through our website host and email provider, who process the data on our behalf and keep it secure. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless we need them for longer for an ongoing donation, sponsorship or partnership.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts are stored on our own server, so loading the site does not send your information to a font provider.
Links to Google Maps open Google's website, which has its own privacy and cookie policy.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us at info@stablestepswateraid.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
