Accessibility statement
Making this website work for everyone
Last updated 4 November 2026
We want everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readers with low vision.
- Colours meet contrast guidelines in both light and dark mode, and the site follows your device's dark mode setting.
- Every part of the site can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Photos have text descriptions, and the pump explorer works with arrow keys and screen readers.
- Animation is kept to a minimum and respects the "reduce motion" setting.
- The layout works on phones, tablets and computers, and text can be zoomed to 200% without breaking.
Known limitations
- The plaque close-ups are photos of printed text. The pump number and donor name are also written out in text next to each photo.
- The maps are simplified drawings. The places they show are also described in the page text.
